Why do police officers always want to play the guessing game with you.
“Do you know why I pulled you over?”
“Do you know how fast you were going?”
“Did you know your taillight was out?”
“Have you been drinking?”
If we answer the questions correctly, do we get any bonus points or anything? My favorite one that I had recently was when I was pulled over for speeding, the office asked me, “Did you see me parked on the side road?” I answered “No” because, obviously, if I had, I would have slowed down.
And what would have been his reaction if I had said “Yes”. Would I get an extra ticket for willful disobedience of the traffic laws? Was he just wondering if he had found a good hiding spot? Who knows.

Yeah, so when I got pulled over the guy says, “Where’s the fire, chief?” I said, “How the hell am I supposed to know where the fire chief is?”
