He’ll Kick The Bucket Before He Kicks The Ball

Did it ever matter that Charlie Brown never actually kicked the football? Would it have been better if he actually got a valentine or a kiss from the redhead girl? We loved him even though he was the ultimate loser. And maybe if he would have kicked the football just once, it would have cheapened the whole thing.
